The History of Our Campaign & What Makes Duane Thomas Unique
The campaign to elect Duane Thomas for Forest Park City Council, Ward 1, was born from a deep desire to see real, lasting change in our community. As a lifelong public servant, mentor, and community leader, Duane has consistently rolled up his sleeves to serve—not for recognition, but out of a genuine love for the people of Forest Park.
What makes Duane Thomas unique is his hands-on approach. As a current police officer, founder of the Change Center Mentoring Group, and former small business owner, Duane has been actively working with families, at-risk youth, seniors, and underserved residents long before announcing his run for office. His proven track record of creating programs that uplift young people, advocating for better infrastructure, and building bridges between law enforcement and the community is unmatched.
This campaign isn't just about politics—it's about purpose. It's about putting people first, listening to concerns, and taking bold, visible action to make Ward 1 a cleaner, safer, and more equitable place to live. Duane isn’t just campaigning for a seat—he’s campaigning to serve.
